My work is where story meets strategy and personal transformation meets systems change.
My work is grounded in empathy, lived experience, and evidence-based practices — from coaching tools to behavioural psychology to DEI strategy. I see the patterns in people’s stories. I help them turn roadblocks into building blocks. And I hold space for identity, change, and possibility to coexist.
The knowledge behind my calling reflects the bridges I’ve built between technical mastery and human connection. My certifications, training, and lived experience form the backbone of my approach, which blends evidence-based tools with a human-centred philosophy.
My journey started in biomedical engineering, where I learned to design systems for real-world problems. However, the true turning point was two hands-on, community-based projects at UBC, moments that quietly shifted my focus toward human development.
In collaboration with Randy, a brain injury survivor, I co-developed a custom mobility aid that helped restore his balance and independence. This early project combined accessibility, empathy, and people-first innovation, blending engineering with human-centred purpose.
Seeing the spark in his eyes when Randy felt included planted a lasting seed: empathy and belonging can transform lives in ways that technical solutions alone cannot. That moment of human connection, alongside a second initiative focused on newcomer youth, showed me that real impact exists where inclusion meets lived experience.
I shared my personal journey in a province-wide, identity-focused awareness initiative, highlighting the cultural dissonance and unspoken emotional strain many immigrant students quietly navigate.
These two memorable community-driven projects form the foundation of my people-focused journey, sparking dedication to inclusion, storytelling, and empowering environments.
These two early, community-based experiences laid the foundation for my people-first path, sparking a lasting commitment to inclusion, storytelling, and systems that empower. They taught me that intentional empathy has the power to transform lives.
That insight led me to earn my international coaching certification through Erickson International, where I also completed the required hours for ICF accreditation, recognized globally as the gold standard in professional coaching. Since then, I’ve supported hundreds of immigrants and bicultural clients as they navigate cultural transitions and career shifts in unfamiliar systems.
Helping individuals adapt across cultures is much like tending a garden. By gently removing barriers—like pulling weeds—we create supportive ground where confidence, clarity, and growth can take root. When the right conditions are nurtured, potential unfolds naturally, and people begin to thrive.
After obtaining my ICF accreditation, I pursued my passion for behavioural science by completing an associate’s degree in Psychology. I later earned a DEIB certificate through AIHR, driven not by credentials but by values.
At the intersection of coaching and DEI is a shared belief: potential is universal, but opportunity is not. When people are placed in the right conditions—spaces where transformation begins and roots can take hold—they’re more likely to access that potential, rise with clarity, and contribute meaningfully.
I focus on creating a climate where diverse talent can flourish. My journey continues to center on creating those conditions and supportive ecosystems where growth is nurtured and diverse talents can blossom with purpose.
